The EMEX was a first of its kind: an electricity exchange for businesses in the retail market that allows you to lock in rates online in real time from national energy suppliers linked directly through the natural gas market. Worked closely with client to write all copy for the website, explaining the complex concept and how to easily use it.

A site for a private medical office in Georgia that offers abortion services. The site provides a summary of services and frequently asked questions about the clinic. The client did not have regular Web access or want email, so the whole site was developed long distance via phone and fax, with a final review on the Web before it went live. The site is mirrored in its entirety in Spanish.

E-commerce retail site selling more than 1000 collectible dolls, teddy bears, candles and gift accessories. User can find competitively products organized by vendors, seasonal gifts, montl specials or search engine. Site includes wishlist, shopping cart, secure online payment, Flash animation, and optional background audio. Adminstrator can enter product information, pictures, add vendors, create new product lines, and specify seasonal gifts and monthly specials through Web-based administrative tools.

A site for a private medical office in Texas that offers abortion services. The purpose was to describe the services and atmosphere of the center and provide important medical information about pregnancy testing, abortion, and birth control. The site emphasizes the professional and private nature of the practice and encourages potential clients to phone the office rather than reply via the Internet. The site is mirrored in its entirety in Spanish.

Net Ingenuity completely redesigned a Web site for a risk management company focused on the energy industry. Design had to tie in with pre-existing marketing collateral. This site, with 14 pages, 22 unique images, 2 forms, 1 password protected area and utilizes Javascript rollovers, cascading style sheets, and a refer-a-friend script. The client wanted a way to draw potential customers to their site to register to receive thirty-days free access to read a daily market letter.

Net Ingenuity worked closely with Philips Electronics, a client of an Atlanta advertising company, Melia Design, which did all the design and coding. Our job was to understand the client’s market and product line and then to write all the copy for the extranet site. A year later, Philips requested that Net Ingenuity again work with them to update the information.

Schlumberger
This Flash animation was designed as a front-end to an intranet site for the training department of Schlumberger. Just when the animation was delivered on schedule, the entire training department was eliminated. Nonetheless, this sample demonstrates the versatility of working with Flash to make display text more compelling.

The Light Of Truth Universal Shrine, a unique interfaith shrine dedicated to the Light of all faiths and to world peace, was built in central Virginia by H. H. Net Ingenuity did all the production, linking, and coding (HTML and Javascript) for this complex, 100-page site designed and written by Isis Multimedia. Launched in 3Q98, the Library is a major project of the Center for Occupational Research and Development (CORD). One in a series showing how high school education comes into use in the workplace, this project focused on jobs in the U.S. Navy. It includes:

  • Full-motion video clips of Navy personnel discussing how they do their work and what they have to know in order to do it.
  • Audio clips and text containing additional information on how academic concepts are used, how work is done, and how careers are made.
  • Student activities that can be downloaded and printed.
  • Cross-indexing of employee accounts with pages sections on:
    • Academic concepts and skills
    • Student problem-solving activities
    • Thinking, problem-solving and other essential skills for work
    • Job titles
    • Companies and institutions

Junior Audubon
This Texas Audubon educates kids about the birds of Texas, birdwatching activities, and birding equipment. It introduces comic book characters, and offers kids membership to a club, a game, a contest, and support for teachers. Net Ingenuity did project management, information architecture, and production.

Copy-edited online curriculum offered by UT’s Distance Education Center for high school and college credit. Consulted on instructional strategies and format. Researched and wrote about links to Web sites containing material relevant to the area of study.

Showcase for an artist’s work: hand-pulled Japanese woodblock prints. We a dynamic database-driven site using PHP and MySQL and created admin pages so the artist can update her gallery pages using a Web inteface. Net Ingenuity completed content architecture, page design, copywriting and production.
